  • After going in the Troubleshooting option, go to the right-hand corner of the screen.
  • Go down to the Get up and running column.
  • After going to that column, press on the Printer option.
  • After that, press on the Run the troubleshooter option to open the utility menu.
  • After starting the utility menu, you need to wait till the scanning process gets finished on the screen.
  • Press on the Apply this fix option.
  • After applying the fixes, you need to start the system again.
By restarting the print spooler device
It is another effective method you have to resolve this issue. To resolve this issue by restarting the print spooler device, follow the steps listed below:
  • Click on the Windows and R keys together.
  • It will launch the Run prompt box.
  • Enter "services.msc" in the text field.
  • Press on the Enter option.
  • It will launch the Services display.
  • You will get the User Account Control menu on the desktop.
  • Press on the Yes button.
  • After going in the Services display, you need to slide to the right corner of the panel.
  • Go down to the menu list of all the available services.
  • Find the Print Spooler service option.
  • After getting it, you need to right-click on the Print Spooler Service menu.
  • Select the Properties option.
  • You will find this option on the pop-up list.
  • After going in the Printer Spooler Properties display, you need to begin by ensuring that you are in the General option.
  • Once you have verified that you are in the correct menu list, you need to change the Startup type option to Automatic option.
  • After that, press on the Stop option.
  • Wait for a few seconds to complete this procedure on the screen.
  • Press on the Start menu to start the Print Spooler service once again.
  • Once you have managed to start the Print Spooler service menu, you need to start the system again.
  • After that, you need to check if the ‘A Startdocprinter call was not issued' error is fixed or not.
By repairing the Print Spooler service through CMD

  • Click on the Windows and R keys together.

  • After that, enter "cmd" in the given box.
  • Click on the Control, Shift, and Enter keys.
  • These keys help you to launch the Command Prompt menu.
  • After the User Account Control gets open on the screen, you need to press on the Yes button.
  • In the Command Prompt, enter the below-mentioned command:
  • cd\Windows\System32\spool
  • Click on the Enter button.
  • You are in the right place now.
  • After that, enter the below-mentioned command:
  • exe PRINTERS /E /G administrator:C
  • Then, click on the Enter option to customize the Print Spooler service.
  • Once you have run the command, start the system again.
  • Check if this issue is fixed or not.
