There are a number of users, who reported that they are facing the error when they are trying to log in from their profile. They are facing the error mentioning that the login action has been failed, and the user profile could not load.
This error happens when your user profile is not registered in Registry Editor. To remove this error, you have to list your user profile in Registry Editor. There are several fixes that can be used to fix the issue:
Replace the User Profile which one is Corrupted
- Log in the Windows through the Admin Account.
- Reach out to the folder User, which in Drive:C.
- Now, tap on the tab View.
- Activate the View the “Hidden Files and Folders.”
- Here, find the Default named folder, Rename it to Default.old
Note: You shouldn’t delete this folder because it can work as the backup in the adverse conditions.
- Now create a new folder and name the folder Default.
- In the folder Default, create new sub-folders same as in Default.old
- Now copy the file naming as NTUSER.DAT from the admin account. Now, paste these in the folder Default.
Keep Your Windows Updated
- Tap on the Start button.
- Go to Settings.
- Choose Update and Security.
- Then, Choose Check for the Updates from the list.
- You can activate the automatic update here.
Fixing the Corrupted Profiles:
The corrupted profiles of users can be the reason of many issues, some of them are mentioned below:
- Corrupted Registry Key
- Unable to Load Profile
- Failed profile Services
- Corrupted Active Directory
- User File Corruption
- Disappearing User Profile
If you wish to fix the corrupt file, then you can use the following steps:
Note: If you are thinking to perform these steps, then be on the safe side and create the backup of your data whose loss you can’t bear. This suggestion is viable because the steps here are going to make some changes in the Windows Registry. Generally, the data remains unaffected from the procedure, but there are some cases where users have lost many relevant data.
- Reboot your PC.
- When PC is starting, go to Safe Mode. Form the instance, you entered the Safe Mode, let the PC usually begin.
- Launch Run.
- Enter regedit in the command space, and hit Enter. Registry Editor will open.
- Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList in the Registry Window.
- Tap on every S-1-5 folders on the left pan and double-tap on ProfileImagePath. From here, you will find out which one is related to which user. If you find any file with .bak or .ba, then rename them.
- Once you have found out the corrupted profile without the .bak extension, tap-double on the RefCount. Here you have to replace the Value data to 0 (if it does not have the value then you have to put it there manually, now hit Ok button.
- After that, click twice on the State, ensure that the value data is 0. Hit Enter.
- Now, you have to close the Registry editor.
- Then Reboot your PC again.
These steps will resolve the issue, and now you are able to log in with your User Profile. After rebooting try to log in and check is there any issue.
